The homeland of the walnut is not known exactly, it is grown in Turkey, Afghanistan, Southern Russia, Iraq, Iran, India, China, and Korea. Walnut oil, called “Juglans regia” in Latin, is obtained by squeezing the walnut fruit with the cold press method.
Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, walnut oil is an important source of minerals such as protein, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and copper. Walnut oil, which is a natural source of antioxidants, has been used for both food and therapeutic purposes since ancient times.
